Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!

Record-Breaking Snow Accumulation
Christmas Day

We had a very filling meal for Christmas: Turkey, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Rolls, Macaroni & Cheese, Green Bean Casserole, Creamy Corn, Sweet Potato Casserole, Broccoli Salad & Deviled Eggs.
Later we played with the new Legos. And we played Monopoly Here & Now World Edition. It was fun not to have to count your money this time. We also played the new Wii games. That is a workout!
Christmas Advent

This year we added a pocket advent calendar to our advent tradition. Each night it was filled with a surprise for the boys. Our Christmas advent tradition consists of the Jesus Tree, a Christmas Carol countdown, a toyshop countdown & the pocket calendar.
On Christmas Eve it had a clue, which began a new tradition of a Scavenger Hunt! The clues took them throughout the house & revealed their Christmas Eve present - pajamas & a movie!
Gingerbread Man

Kaden wanted to make Gingerbread Men this year to see if they would come alive. I think he was a little disappointed. It seemed to work for his Preschool & Kindergarten class last year.
We also made M & M Chocolate Chip Cookies with red & green sprinkles for Santa. He liked those. ;)
By the way, we had to buy molasses to make these complicated, homemade gingerbread cookies. Who buys molasses?
