Mountain Hiking

On the 1st Day of Fall, our family ventured out into unknown territory. We hiked part of the Ravine Trail on National Forest Land. It was very steep and hard work, but also a LOT of FUN! We hiked a total of about 2 miles that day.

Rock Creek

About 10 minutes out of Missoula is a lovely location called, "Rock Creek." Our Sunday drive led us here last week. We took the self-guided Nature Trail to learn about various plant & wild life in the area.

Fishing Partners

Labor Day Fishing

This Labor Day we went to Dylan's favorite spot, "The Frenchtown Pond." This is a simple, relaxing place to fish. The fish may be small, but it is of no concern to an enthusiastic fisherman.

Speech Services

Kaden is receiving speech services in his school. The therapists use common items to encourage children to communicate. This method works well with Kaden. (The picture shows him in the playhouse inside the speech therapy room.)

Detective Duty

Kaden received an FBI play package this week. He took it to heart and became the ultimate detective, locking up every member of the household. We gladly played along.

Kaden's 1st Day

Kaden's first week of preschool has been excellent. Each day he has had to wear a different color for color's week. He attends for a couple hours each day. He loves every minute of it. If you ask him his favorite part, he answers, "The cars."

Dylan's 1st Day

Dylan has enjoyed his first couple weeks of school. He loves the fact that in Montana you get five recesses. And you can sit anywhere you want to for lunch. First Grade should be a lot of fun for him!

Climbers

Montana provides wonderful opportunity for mountain climbing. That sounds like fun. But for now, we'll stick with climbing on the monkey bars!

Fun @ Playgrounds

Kaden is very fond of playgrounds. He plays on every piece available. Then he turns the playground into his pirate ship where he becomes the captain. We are so thankful for his vivid imagination.

Dylan was Baptized!

Dylan, at the age of 61/2, was baptized by his father this past Sunday. He expressed his desire to us and followed through with it when the opportunity was given. He was baptized along with 6 other people from our church. (Landon got a little choked up when it was Dylan's turn.)
